In handling with the personal information, SCETI K.K. (“we”) observes this Privacy Policy set forth below, in compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information .
1. Acquisition of Personal Information
When we acquire personal information, we specify the purpose of use. The information acquired will not include any extended information that is not necessary for the achievement of the specified purpose of use.
2. Management of Personal Information
We maintain an appropriate internal system in compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. We restrict the users of personal information to those who only need such personal information for their tasks. We strictly manage and keep media including personal information.
To secure data transmissions via internet regarding personal information, SSL, the security standard for a Web page, is used as encryption. Personal information will be deleted periodically if this will not cause any trouble for providing our service.
3. Purpose of use of Personal Information
We will use our customers’ personal information only for the purpose of use, and will not use it beyond the purpose of use.
4. Provision to Third Parties
We will not provide nor disclose personal information to any third party without the prior consent of the person who owns such personal information. But we may provide or disclose the personal information without the consent of the person who owns such personal information in the following cases:
- where required to disclose based on applicable laws and regulations.
- where a national institution or local public organization, such as a court or the police, requires the disclosure of the personal information.
- where a subcontractor for our business use is needed to be used by us, we will provide personal information to such subcontractor in the range required in order to achieve the purposes of the use. We will require the subcontractor to handle appropriately the provided personal information and to maintain an appropriate management system for the subcontractor.
5. Disclosure, etc. of the Personal Information
We accept the request for notice of purpose of use, disclosure, changes, adding, erasing and stopping of use (the "Disclosure, etc.") of the retained personal data when a person, who is identified by such personal data, makes the request, and when we can confirm the identification of such person. We may reject such request, however, when we may do so based on laws and regulations. : We may ask a handling charge for the Disclosure, etc.
