| Note | Detection Target name PLA2 Target Synonyms PLA2, Phospholipase A2, Phosphatidylcholine 2-acylhydrolase, PLA2G1B, PLA2A, PPLA2 Description Main blood assays for pancreatic cancer are tumor producing substances (such as CA19-9), pancreatic enzymes (such as pancreatic PLA2), and acute phase reaction proteins (PSTI). These are useful in the observation of the clinical condition of pancreatic cancer. An abnormally high value of pancreatic PLA2 in the blood is observed for pancreatic cancer in the relatively early period with a tumor less than 2cm in diameter, and there is an abnormally low value for advancing pancreatic cancer with a tumor larger than 2cm. This product is useful for Gastroenterology study. |
